After 18 months planning and pre-production our Euro 2012 team is finally on site. The picture shows our Warsaw production office in full swing (complete with Jubilee bunting).
A really exciting time for us; we’ll be delivering a wide range of activity across 6 cities, culminating in a huge event the night before the final in Kiev.

Congratulations
Huge congrats to our good friends at Castrol who scooped ‘Best International Sport Marketing Campaign’ for Castrol EDGE presents ‘Ronaldo Tested To The Limit’ at last night’s Sport Industry Awards. It sounded like a hell of a night, and we’re so pleased for the team (and also happy that we could help out on part of the activity).

Castrol Motorsport
This week we had the enviable honour of our work featuring in none other than Top Gear magazine’s Portuguese edition.
We’ve been helping Castrol and their motorsport agency MPB with the branding elements of their Motorsport programme, which provides journalists, partners and key customers with once-in-a-lifetime track day experiences.

Singapore Again
We’re all back at the Marina Bay Sands hotel in Singapore for another Castrol event, this time it’s a three day gathering of their leadership team. Incredibly plenty has changed since our last visit a few months back. Our favourite new edition is this wonderful cooling sculpture that runs alongside the bay.

Singapore Adventures Cont…
Just off the plane from Singapore and the culmination of a wonderful project for Castrol. They asked us to recreate the Final Celebration we created in South Africa for their Asia and Pacific customers and staff. The end result featured a 30 meter wide set, a whole host of new projection mapped content, a cast of over 100 (including the dragon shown above) and an audience of 400 – more to come once we’ve put the show record together.

Kiev and Warsaw
A four day visit to the host countries for UEFA Euro 2012 with Castrol last week. A chance for us all to have a first look around, find out a bit more about the cities and scout possible venues, as well as a great opportunity to meet the local teams.

Final Celebration
So it’s all over, after 16 months graft we’re all done in South Africa – the last get out finishes today and the remaining team fly home tonight. But boy did we go out with a bang…
Working with local agency VWV we produced a one off Final Celebration for 600 of Castrol’s most important global customers. Held outside at Witwatersrand University we put up a huge clear skinned structure, leaving the front wall open and facing the Great Hall.

Tough life for the Cape Town team, their production office looks right out onto Table Mountain which is being lit at night for the duration of the World Cup…
We’ve just finished the build of the 2nd Castrol Performance Lab and it’s looking good. Gutted I’m not going to get he chance to see it.

Makarapa Madness 2
For the Castrol hospitality area at Soccer City we’ve created the Football Lodge, a space that mixes football and traditional craft skills.
As part of the build we commissioned a Cape Town based township collective to make 600 Castrol makarapas – the hand cut and painted hard hats worn by the most fanatical local fans.

Performing Under Pressure

The players wear headbands with electrodes which are connected to the table. The electrodes are wired up to a biosensor system that measures electrical activity in the brain.
