Our team arrived in Brazil a few days ago to start work on our FIFA World Cup activation for one of the tournament sponsors. Kat, Trine and Claire wasted no time in collaring Cafu, one of Brazil's most iconic and successful players, for a cheeky photo.more
Earlier this month, basketball’s most prestigious competition made its annual transatlantic trip to our shores once again. The regular season match at London’s O2 Arena saw the Atlanta Hawks face the Brooklyn Nets, and the NBA asked us to help celebrate the occasion by throwing an evening of entertainment.more
As those lucky enough to be on our Christmas card list will know by now, we love to have a bit of fun with our festive greetings. For our 2013 effort, we invited our friends to knit their own ‘Christmas Jumper’ tree decoration and send us a photo. The prize? An actual version of your jumper!
So we popped this card (along with a nice long bit of wool, of course) in the post and awaited the results with baited breath.more
Our reputation for collecting and sampling the world’s biscuits ascended to new heights this morning when a lovely young Italian lady who popped in for an interview brought along these traditional Italian treats! Behold – the Roccoco, the Cantucci, the Susamiello and the Tarallo (with Nutella!). All baked by her Mum. Amazing!more
Big thanks to the Stand Out team, and also to Appleton’s digital agency Silver Chair who – as the article testifies – ensured the social media activity tied in beautifully with the live experience.more
We’ve been working with the good folks at Canterbury once again, creating a brand-led match day experience for fans heading to the QBE Autumn Internationals at Twickenham.
Working with the brilliant Natural Theatre Company, we sent this irreverent bunch of characters out into the streets to play with the hoards of arriving supporters. They did the Haka, they posed for photos – they even popped into a Twickenham resident’s house to say hello.more
Our very own Guy Tremlett reflects on his time in the industry thus far in this week’s Event Magazine:
I got into the event industry because I got spotted at the New Designers graduate exhibition by Park Avenue. They invited me for an interview and their work blew me away, I didn’t know anything about brand experiences, but they seemed to combine all the areas of design, creativity and construction that I loved. I managed to get the job and have never looked back.more
A few of us took some time off on Friday to lend a helping hand to our charity partners Teens & Toddlers. The nature of their work – helping disadvantaged teenagers gain confidence and life skills by giving them the chance to mentor a young child through their first years at school – means the nursery and pre-school environments where the interactions take place need lots of care and attention to keep them looking great. So we got hold of some sandpaper, varnish and paint, and met up with some of those involved in the Teens & Toddlers programme at Woodlands Park Nursery in Haringay for a few hours of hard graft.
Ridwan and Cormac both completed the Teens & Toddlers scheme and are now members of the charity’s Youth Led Consultancy Board, who work together to raise awareness of Teens & Toddlers through their own first-hand experiences. When they’re not busy varnishing fences, of course.more
Our friends at Bentley Motors have redesigned their motor show stand, complete with a façade constructed of low resolution LED panels. For its debut outing at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, Bentley asked us to create content for the façade - and the video screen embedded within it - as part of the press reveal of the Continental GT V8 S.more
We love summer here at Flourish. The sun on our backs, the long gentle evenings, the warm breeze floating in off the Old Street tarmac. But what we really love about the summertime is when our friends and colleagues bring us biscuits galore from their summer hols. Like these, all the way from Budapest and France. Cheers Kath G, and the Scene 2 boys!
Here’s a veritable medley of treats from Guy T’s Greek week, Claire’s Sri Lankan adventure and Guy C’s family trip to semi-sunny Spain.more
The Flourish team were out in Brazil this summer delivering a series of guest experiences as part of Castrol’s FIFA Confederations Cup sponsorship.more
Our latest influx of treats came courtesy of a young Taiwanese lady we met recently called Nana Ho. Nana brought us a range of savoury Eastern delicacies, including these fish-flavoured crisps which polarised the office pretty much down the middle. Kind of like Marmite, in a packet.more
