Canterbury at Twickenham

We’ve been working with the good folks at Canterbury once again, creating a brand-led match day experience for fans heading to the QBE Autumn Internationals at Twickenham.

Working with the brilliant Natural Theatre Company, we sent this irreverent bunch of characters out into the streets to play with the hoards of arriving supporters. They did the Haka, they posed for photos – they even popped into a Twickenham resident’s house to say hello.

I got into the event industry because I got spotted at the New Designers graduate exhibition by Park Avenue. They invited me for an interview and their work blew me away, I didn’t know anything about brand experiences, but they seemed to combine all the areas of design, creativity and construction that I loved. I managed to get the job and have never looked back.

Teens & Toddlers Time

Teens & Toddlers Time

A few of us took some time off on Friday to lend a helping hand to our charity partners Teens & Toddlers. The nature of their work – helping disadvantaged teenagers gain confidence and life skills by giving them the chance to mentor a young child through their first years at school – means the nursery and pre-school environments where the interactions take place need lots of care and attention to keep them looking great. So we got hold of some sandpaper, varnish and paint, and met up with some of those involved in the Teens & Toddlers programme at Woodlands Park Nursery in Haringay for a few hours of hard graft.

Ridwan and Cormac both completed the Teens & Toddlers scheme and are now members of the charity’s Youth Led Consultancy Board, who work together to raise awareness of Teens & Toddlers through their own first-hand experiences. When they’re not busy varnishing fences, of course.

Our latest influx of treats came courtesy of a young Taiwanese lady we met recently called Nana Ho. Nana brought us a range of savoury Eastern delicacies, including these fish-flavoured crisps which polarised the office pretty much down the middle. Kind of like Marmite, in a packet.
