Nothing like a light fountain to illuminate a picture-perfect Polish winter.

The action took place on Bentley’s stand, where a film of the new model complete with countdown sequence built up the suspense before the video wall transformed into the grill of a garage, which rose to reveal the new twin-turbo V8.

Homebaked lussekatter and hot glögg with raisins followed by a julekurver-making lesson gave us all a brilliant start to a chilly winter Wednesday. Skål!

We’ve been helping Castrol and their motorsport agency MPB with the branding elements of their Motorsport programme, which provides journalists, partners and key customers with once-in-a-lifetime track day experiences.

Our Portuguese friends were evidently wowed by their day out, as their experience at the Nürburgring was given a hefty eight-page spread in the magazine.

Both gongs were in recognition of our work for Castrol at last summer’s FIFA World Cup in South Africa. The Final Celebration scooped Best International Event at the UK Event Awards, while the overall Guest Experience programme won the Best Brand Event Strategy at a Sporting Event at the Brand Event Awards. Well done all involved and thanks very much to the good folk at Castrol for the opportunity.

Our audience insight: “I’ve got some time to kill before the match and I’m gagging to pick up a tennis racket.”

Activation: Metro Urban Tennis, a twist on mini-golf in which participants scored points by hitting balls against and into different targets within a cityscape environment.

Results: 2,261 players tried their hand at Metro Urban Tennis during the eight days it was live. The highest score of 300 points was posted by American professional doubles player Eric Butorac. The data capture element, which gave visitors the chance to win a VIP experience to see John McEnroe at The AEGON Masters Tennis at the Royal Albert Hall, generated over 1,500 entries.
