Activation: Celebrate YouTube and the ‘Google Preferred’ service by bringing together performances and presentations from a diverse range of brands, musicians and influential figures whose exposure on YouTube has played a huge part in their success.

Around 900 guests from influential brands were welcomed to Battersea Evolution, which was transformed into a physical representation of YouTube. A series of spaces including reception and staging areas were connected by a flowing ribbon-like installation designed to symbolise the progress bar at the foot of a YouTube video.

Speakers from the likes of Red Bull, Pepsi and VICE then took to the stage to talk about their accomplishments through YouTube. Jamie Oliver also made an appearance, discussing achievements such as his Drinks Tube channel and its partnership with Bacardi.

The emergence of the new generation of YouTube star was celebrated too. Zoella, whose make-up and fashion channel has over six million subscribers, told the story of how her own personal brand was developed through great YouTube content.

Bespoke lighting and video content on five huge screens supported each speaker. Between presentations, the screens revolved to reveal artists including Rudimental and Clean Bandit who performed live to the delight of the audience.
